The Brother Martin NJROTC unit celebrated another successful year in a festive way at their annual Military Ball, held in the Brother Mark Thornton Terrace here on campus. Public Affairs Officer Seamus O’Connor served as the emcee of the evening, announcing the arrival of the Staff Officers, led by Cadet LT Daniel Martinez, who formed a sword arch to formally welcome special guests: Major Amick and his wife, Chief Necaise and his wife, the Color Guard (under the command of David Welch), and Cadet Seaman Recruit Christopher Flynn parading the company cake. The unit was then introduced to the 2014 Company Sweetheart, Miss Amy Panzeca of Dominican High School, and her court, Miss Haley Groetsch of Mt. Carmel Academy and Miss Alexandra Schoest of Mt. Carmel Academy. Finally, the cadets enjoyed food from Rocky and Carlos and a night of fun and dancing.
