The annual Mass celebrating Catholic Schools Week was held Thursday, January 31, at St. Dominic Church. The Mass was celebrated by Archbishop Gregory Aymond CJ ‘67. Br. Martin was represented at the Mass by the Executive Board of the Big Brothers Club–juniors Sam Brewton, Paul Castedo, and James Shea. Senior Nathaniel Peters served as an acolyte. The Mass also celebrated the feast day of St. John Bosco. During the homily, the Archbishop told the story of John Bosco, who as a nine year-old boy had a dream in which children were fighting on a playground. In the dream, a messenger told John to stop the fighting. John realized that God was calling him to stop standing on the sidelines and get involved. The Archbishop urged all of the Catholic school students at the Mass to do the same.
