Team members of the Brothers of the Sacred Heart Alumni Association headed to the famous city of Memphis which is the home of Elvis Presley, Rock ‘n’ Roll, Blues and more. While in Memphis for a varsity wrestling tournament, Director of Development Kenny Spellman ’84, Head Wrestling Coach Robbie Dauterive ’84, and Assistant Wrestling Coach James Casadaban ’06 gathered together at Owen Brennan’s restaurant to meet and update fellow alumni on various events and news about Brother Martin. Eric Evans ’77, Principal at Elohi Strategic Advisors, and Eric Ellis ’96, Operations Manager at CMC Logistics, exchanged current stories about their careers and families. They enjoyed hearing about ‘Crusader Life’ on Elysian Fields Ave. “We always enjoy seeing our various successful alumni outside of the GNO area and visiting with them in their great cities,” said Spellman.
Last April, Spellman was also instrumental in the “restart” of the Memphis Chapter. The alumni chapter hopes to plan more events such as crawfish boils, dinners, and volunteer projects in their area. In addition, the Memphis alumni were excited to receive updates on Crusader academics and athletics. The Crusader wrestling team even secured a second place victory at the Black Horse Invitational, in Germantown, TN, which featured 24 teams from three states. Congratulations, Crusader Wrestling!
