On Sunday evening, the Brother Martin bowling community held its first Alumni Bowling Tournament and Reunion at Colonial Bowling Lanes. The inaugural tournament was a huge success, drawing over 30 participants as well as numerous friends and family members. Alumni and friends enjoyed complimentary chicken fettuccine, jambalaya, finger sandwiches, pizza, chicken kickers and soft drinks.
Seven teams competed for the inaugural championship title. Team Averaging with a 216, “Team 5” defeated “Team 1” in the finals. The championship team members were Craig Schaffer ’79, Joseph Musso ‘77, Blaise Himbert ’10, and Bruce Himbert, Sr. ’78. Coach Himbert bowled ten straight strikes and ended up with a score of 289 in the final match.
