On December 27th, Brother Martin hosted Trivia Night VIII and the Academic Games Reunion. The Tom and Gayle Benson Mall was filled with 18 teams consisting of parents, faculty, and alumni vying for the Trivia Night VIII Championship. Crispitos, pizza, hot dogs and cold beverages were provided by the Brother Martin Food Services and the Advancement Office. Challenge Entertainment and Live Trivia (James Maumus ’89, Jeff Maumus ’97 & Miguel Sanchez ’00) sponsored the event along with Missy and Michael Collins ’88.

The evening ended with the presentation of three awards. Team Old Dogs, made up of Tom Nenos ’64 SA, Glenn Laborde ’64 SA, Jerry Tauzier ’64 SA, Mike Duplantier ’64 SA, and Joan Growl won the Brother Martin Trivia contest earning them a Brother Martin Bookstore gift certificate. Golden’s Crusaders, a team consisting of Bro. Neal Golden ’57 CJ, Chris Bailey ’86, Richard Dempsey ’70, Steven Tucker, Bruce Bivona ’70 and Sean Brunet earned Runner-up honors and gift cards to Katie’s Restaurant and Step Brother's Bar and Grill. The big winners of the night were Mr. Fleetwood Mac, made up of Craig Zeller ’02, Gordon Kuehl ’00, Kevin Gootee ’00, and Michael Dowhower ’00. Their team earned gift cards to Katie’s Restaurant and Step Brother's Bar and Grill and their name is now engraved on the Brothers of the Sacred Heart Alumni Cup!

Alumni Officer, Chris Alley ’08 thanked all of our guests that support Brother Martin’s efforts in continuing our mission of educating young men for life. Without participation from our school community, none of these great improvements for Brother Martin would be possible.
