This past weekend, the Crusader football program celebrated two victories. The 8th grade football team defeated St. Paul’s 22-14 in a Saturday afternoon showdown. The team was led by touchdowns from Matthew Beninate, Lamont Berzat, and Jeremy Singleton. William Fulham led the charge for the Crusaders on defense. With this win the 8th Grade program advances to 3-0 for the season. The team returns to action on Tuesday evening as they head to Houma to take on Vandebilt Catholic at 5:30 pm.
Also, the Varsity football team bounced back with a win against Central Lafourche in Matthews, LA Friday night by a score of 26-14. The Crusaders are 1-1 and are looking to use the week to prepare for their next opponent. Brother Martin will face John Ehret this Thursday in the Hannan Classic. Kickoff is set for 7:00pm at Tad Gormley. Pre-sale tickets will be sold in the bookstore for $7 and will be $8 at the gate.
