One hundred fifty Crusaders from various student service, academic, and leadership organizations were officially “inducted” into their clubs this week at the Fall Induction Ceremony held in the Benson Mall. Gabrielle Macaluso, Assistant Principal for Student Services, and Marilyn Meyn, Coordinator of Student Activities, served as the Masters of Ceremonies for the evening as the leaders of each organization–Student Ambassadors, Chi Alpha Mu, Mu Alpha Theta, Excalibur National Honor Society for Excellence in Science, Builders Club, Key Club, National Honor Society, and Student Council–read a brief description of their club’s work, followed by a roll call of club members for the presentation of club pins and/or certificates. John Starr, Assistant Principal of Marrero Middle School and a graduate of the Class of 2002, provided remarks, showing the students how their high school service and leadership will lead them to more active involvement in college and beyond. The evening ended with a reception. Congratulations, Crusaders!
