Did you ever think that the floor of the La Nouvelle Ballroom on the second level of the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center would move up and down with the beat of the music and with the more than 1,400 Crusaders and their dates dancing the night away? Well, it did just that! One eighth grader, upon leaving the dance at the end of the night said, “That was awesome!” Another senior, upon leaving the dance at the end of the night said, “That was awesome!”
An ‘awesome’ ending to all of the Homecoming week festivities took place on Saturday night – friends all dressed up in coats/ties and formal gowns, non-stop music from 8 p.m. – midnight, dancing on the dance floor and throughout the ballroom, and a Homecoming Court presentation with football team escorts. Lots of fun, but more important, ‘awesome’ everlasting memories – that’s what it’s all about!
