The cross country team competed at the Rummel/Chapelle Invitational in City Park Saturday morning. With all three divisions competing, the Crusaders claimed team championships in the Junior High and Junior Varsity divisions, and the Varsity finished in third place behind Archbishop Shaw and Archbishop Rummel.
Freshman Mason Williams won the individual championship for the Junior High, and freshmen Felipe Pelaez, Mason Manale, and Kevin Broadbridge finished in the Top 10. Senior Perren DuRapau was the runner-up in the Junior Varsity division, while seniors Lance Phelps, Michael Ballman, and Taylor Longwell led the Crusader varsity. The teams are back in action next weekend at the St. Joseph’s Invitational at Highland Park in Baton Rouge.
