Seniors Continue to be "Instruments of God"

DSC_0243Traditionally, the senior class celebrates with a recreational and fun day following their Senior Ring Mass. This year, however, due to the Flood of 2016, the recreation center, Lynhaven, in Robert, LA on the Northshore was not available, as it had flooded as well.

Instead, the Class of 2017 was given that day off, but 38 seniors and four faculty members voluntarily, on their day off, boarded a bus to Baton Rouge early Friday morning.  While in Baton Rouge, they gutted a house that flooded in the North Baton Rouge area. The volunteers worked with Habitat for Humanity of Baton Rouge and got the job done in record time. Habitat for Humanity called the Crusaders “manna from heaven” and said that the work that the group completed was so vital to the homeowner.

Thank you, Crusaders, for stepping up to help others in need!
