The Crusaders kept their undefeated record intact by soundly defeating St. Paul’s 55-12 on Wednesday night in the Conlin Gym.
#1 ranked Brother Martin pinned six and won 11 of the 13 matches wrestled. Paul Klein received six points for a St. Paul’s forfeit at 132. Crusaders recording pins for Brother Martin were Luke Cotton, Paul Stephen Schmidt, Mason Williams, Daniel Evans, Yehia Riles and Travis Viener.
In the other weight classes, Steven Shields recorded a 13-7 decision, Seth Johnson defeated his opponent by a score of 6-1 at 152 and Matt Montalbano tallied an 8-2 decision in the heavyweight battle. The sole major decision of the match was Pierce Williams’ 13-3 victory at 170.
The varsity 2nd team will travel to Lafayette over the weekend to compete in the Ken Cole Invitational. Good luck, wrestlers!
