The entire Brother Martin community gathered in the Conlin Gym this week to celebrate the accomplishments of several students and one special alumnus. Mr. Joe Exnicious, Class of 1973, addressed the student body, exploring with them the many ways that Brother Martin prepared him for success in family life, church life, and his business life. He singled out three distinct qualities that he said his teachers and coaches modeled and taught him: leadership, service, and integrity. A representative from the Anti Defamation League presented Brother Martin with its “No Place for Hate” banner, indicating the school’s commitment to equal treatment of all peoples. She challenged the students to continue their experiences in which they stood up against bullying and joyfully accepted people’s differences.
