"Last night the Crusader Band, Dominican Debs, and Dominican Color Guard participated in the annual LMEA Marching Assessment at Archbishop Shaw High School. Everyone received Superior Ratings from a certified panel of LMEA judges, including long-time Louisiana high school and college band directors and instructors.

The group performed an exciting field show developed and rehearsed since the middle of August. Selections included "The Phoenix," by Fall-Out Boy, "Feeling Good Intro" (by Michael Buble, arranged by Alex Ng '27), "Vehicle" by the Ides of March, Mirage Drum Feature by Liam Bailey '27, Luke Cox '27, Aidan Lapene '28, Caden Schmidt '27, and Scott Martinez '27, and "Aquarius/Let the Sunshine In," by The 5th Dimension. The field drill was designed by Mr. Duane Minnick, Director of Bands at Briarwood High School in Ashburn, VA, and drill writer for the Phantom Regiment Alumni Corps. Deb and Color Guard choreography was designed by the groups' coaches and officers!
