"This past week was a special one for me. Getting the chance to sit down and read these words from Brother Martin head coach Drew Haro felt like stepping directly into a time machine.

As a former Crusader, listening to him speak made me feel like I never really left. Every core value Coach Haro touched on — the tight-knit camaraderie, the raw passion and the shifts within the top seven — mirrors the exact same environment I experienced as a runner for the Crusaders.

That timeless culture is what makes these athletes and this school so incredibly special. Reading between the lines of their season and knowing the trademark grit the Crusaders always bring, I can already see this team making some moves when they hit the dirt at Highland, the true Mecca of Louisiana cross country.
