
On Thursday, April 9, the Brother Martin Bowling Team, under the direction of head coach Bruce Himbert '78, secured the LHSAA Division I Boys' Bowling State Championship title at Premier Lanes in Baton Rouge.
This marks the Crusaders’ ninth overall title: 2015, 2016, 2018, 2019, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2025, and now 2026. The Crusaders advanced to the semifinals against the sixth-seeded East Ascension and won 16-11. Then, the Crusaders defeated the fifth-seeded Rummel, who had previously defeated Dutchtown 24-3 in the semifinals, by a score of 19-8 in the finals.
The singles state bowling championship will occur on Friday, April 10, 2026.
