On Friday, March 27, 2026, Brother Martin High School hosted a Mock Crash dramatization in the backyard for upperclassmen as a part of the Sudden Impact Program. The purpose of this presentation is "to educate young drivers about the consequences of reckless driving," delivering "powerful messages that encourage healthy behaviors and discourage poor decision-making behind the wheel" (lsp.org).

We would like to thank University Medical Center New Orleans, Louisiana State Police, New Orleans EMS, and the entire Sudden Impact Program for producing this powerful presentation for our students. We would also like to thank everyone who participated in this dramatization, including actors Jackson Dartez '26, Toby Alfonso '27, Devin Nicks '26, Brodie Dumontier '26, and their parents, Owen Karl '27 for narrating, Thomas Allen '26 for writing the letter that was read at the end of the presentation, and Christopher Vicknair '28 for leading the opening prayer. We would also like to thank Ms. Joneil Galey for organizing this event on our campus.

Next week, our presenters will hold a Mock Trial to demonstrate the aftermath of what transpired as a follow-up to the Mock Crash.
