The Crusader Novice, Symphonic, and Concert Bands performed their annual Spring Concert in the Brother Martin Mall this week. Band Directors Dominick Caronna ’85, Chris Bailey ’86, and student intern Nico Camero ’07 led the 100+ band students through a series of dramatic pieces, including W. Francis McBeth’s eight-minute “Masque,” Andrew Lloyd Weber’s “Phantom of the Opera Medley,” and Antonio Capuzzi’s “Classical Rondo.” At the end of the evening, the band directors presented service and merit awards as well as the special awards to senior musicians Brett Storms, Aaron Esteve, Andy Golden, and Justin Greene. The final performance of the night was a special piece composed by Dr. Earl J. Fox, Jr. ’65 Saint Aloysius titled “Integritas–In Memory of Marty Hurley.”
