On Monday, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, thirty-five Brother Martin Crusaders joined students from throughout the Archdiocese for a Martin Luther King, Jr. Day "On, Not Off" of Service. The day began in prayerful reflection as students listened to the powerful words of Dr. King and offered up intentions for peace and justice in our community. Archbishop Aymond challenged the students to "be different" in their willingness to defend the dignity of all human life.
In addition to our Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service, several of our Crusaders made and delivered food baskets to residents of Volunteers of America's "The Terraces on Tulane" senior living center.
We are thankful that our Crusaders continue to exemplify the virtue of charity in giving of themselves and their time in service of those in need. Great work, Crusaders!
