On Tuesday, October 21st, the freshman class traveled to Bay St. Louis for their Day of Reflection at St. Stanislaus College and Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church. The focus of the day was deepening the students’ relationship with God through prayer. Nationally known recording artist Cooper Ray spent the day with the freshmen who were given different prayer experiences and prayer testimonies. Each freshmen enjoyed quiet, meditative time on St. Stanislaus’ iconic pier, visited the Brothers’ cemetery, and enjoyed a hearty lunch in the College Cafe at St. Stanislaus. The freshmen were told, in the words of St. John Paul II, on the day before his feast day that it does not matter how one prays as long as one prays. Grade level retreats are one of many spiritual formation experiences Brother Martin offers our students.
