The entire seventh grade class took a day off from classes on Thursday, September 20, for their class level day of reflection. They spent the day with their Big Brothers on the grounds of St. Joseph’s Abbey and Seminary outside of Covington. The theme of the day was “Who ‘Dat Called to be a Saint?” The seventh graders and the Big Brothers heard talks from three seminarians, a monk, and one of Brother Martin’s newest faculty members, Mr. Chris Biehl. They also toured the abbey grounds including the refectory, the church and the murals painted by Dom Gregory DeWitt over 60 years ago. After a mid-day Mass with the monks and a picnic lunch, the Big and Little Brothers had some quiet time in the peaceful cemetery on the grounds of the monastery.
