Crusaders for Life Attend the Proudly Pro-Life Dinner

DSC_0014On Thursday night, January 14, 2016, 16 Crusaders for Life and four faculty members attended the 17th Annual Proudly Pro-Life Award Dinner at Chateau Country Club in Kenner with the help of a generous donor.  The keynote speaker at the dinner was Rachel Campos-Duffy, an American television personality, who first gained fame in 1994 as a cast member on the MTV reality television series The Real World: San Francisco. Prior to becoming a TV host, Rachel was most notable as a recurring guest host on the ABC talk show The View.  She is married to Sean Duffy, a Republican member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Wisconsin, and she is the mother of seven children with an eighth expected in June.

Most of the Crusaders who attended the dinner will be leaving Tuesday night to travel to Washington, D.C. with hundreds of other high school students from the Archdiocese of New Orleans to protest the U.S. Supreme Court’s Roe v. Wade decision on January 22, 1973, which legalized abortion in this country.

The Crusaders for Life and Ministers of Communion will host a prayer vigil on Friday, January 22, 2016 from 5 p.m. – 6 p.m.  in the Branton Chapel to pray for an end to abortion.  All are invited to attend the prayer vigil.
