Last month, guests gathered for the 18th annual Brother Martin President’s Dinner held at Commander’s Palace. The evening began with cocktails, hors-d’oeuvres, and music in the courtyard.
Attendees then moved to the Patio Room, where event committee member Ben Gootee '01 opened with a prayer, and committee chairman P. Lindsey Williams '83 welcomed everyone and thanked the committee. Brother Martin President Greg Rando ’77 thanked the Gootee Family for their support of the event and gave a school update focusing on our "Building for Champions" capital campaign. Guests then enjoyed a delicious five-course meal. Then, per tradition, Kraig de Lanzac ’86 led a spirited rendition of the Fight Song, and guests enjoyed parting gifts from committee members Christine and Milton Dureau '69 CJ. Proceeds from the President’s Dinner fund scholarships. After this year's President’s Dinner, proceeds have endowed three scholarships that provide students with the opportunity to attend Brother Martin High School. Chair Couple Jodi and P. Lindsey Williams ’83, Erin and Joe Caruso ’79, Rhen and Kraig de Lanzac ’86, Christine and Milton Dureau, Jr. ’69 CJ, Ashley and Ben Gootee ’01, and Karen and Chuck Stall ’76 serve on the President’s Dinner Committee.
