2018 Track and Field Convocation

The Athletics Department hosted the 2018 Track and Field convocation, on Thursday, May 10, in the Tom and Gayle Benson Mall celebrating the accomplishments of the season. Track and Field head coach Brad Duplechain and his coaching staff hosted over 100 athletes and their families at the event. Coach Duplechain also addressed the crowd informing guests of highlights from the school year. In the 3200 meter run at the Indoor State Championships, junior Hunter Appleton repeated as state champion of the 3200-meter. In addition, at the State Outdoor Championships, the Crusaders were represented by seniors Jason Stant in both the 110 and 300-meter hurdles, Hayden Courrege’ in the 3200-meter run, and Matthew Christy in the discus. Junior Hunter Appleton placed first in the 3200-meter run and second place in the 1600-meter. Congratulations to all of our Track & Field members on a strong season!
