The Brother Martin Athletic Department hosted our annual basketball convocation at the Brother Mark Thornton Terrace honoring our basketball team. The Crusaders finished the 2017-2018 season with a record of 17-14. Their season ended with a tough finish against St. Paul’s High School in the quarterfinal playoff game in Covington.
Additionally, a few more season highlights, seniors Tyler Epps and Tyler Lally were named to the 2018 Clarion Herald’s Elite Boys’ basketball team. Sophomore Davonn Moore and Tyler Epps were named to the All-District Team. Lastly, seniors Tyler Lally and Tyler Epps were also both named to NOLA.com’s Honorable Mention All-Metro Team. Coaches Don Musselman, Joey Barnitz ’02, Tommy Smith ’71, and varsity head coach Chris Biehl all spoke on behalf of their respective teams and highlighted their accomplishments throughout the season. Additionally, Coach Biehl honored those players who received individual recognition. Returning players are already looking forward to building on the success of this team next season.
