Congratulations to three Crusaders who were named to the 2017 Louisiana Sports Writers Association all-state track & field team. This team is selected by Bruce Brown from submissions by members of the LSWA and based on regular season, regional, and state meet performances. In the 3200 meter run, Hunter Appleton captured second with a time of 9:18.64. Hayden Courregé captured fifth in the 1600 meter run with a time of 4:25.76. In the field events, Justin Runnels captured third in the shot put with a distance of 53’10”.
In addition, congratulations to Joel Bergeron ’17 (8) on being honored with honorable mention for the Louisiana Sports Writers Association all-state baseball team. Joel was captain for the baseball team and was honored as an MVP and leading hitter at the 2017 baseball convocation.
