The 35th annual Brother Martin Golf Classic attracted over 200 players to Lakewood Golf Club on Friday, April 21. Players enjoyed beautiful weather, delicious food and cold beverages in the morning and afternoon rounds. Food on the course included charbroiled oysters, Swamp Burgers, po-boys from Bear’s and sandwiches from Pigeon Caterers. The Class of ’74 Cooking Team, Blue Runner Beans, G’s Pizza and jambalaya from Brad Treuting ’04 were featured at lunch. Johnny’s Seafood boiled crawfish and the Culinary Crusaders prepared and served a pasta dish for the reception after golf. Super Auction gift items included hotel stays at Windsor Court, Omni Royal Orleans and Marriott Convention Center.
