Members of the Brother Martin baseball community gathered on Saturday for the St. Aloysius, Cor Jesu & Brother Martin Baseball Lettermen Reunion & Alumni Softball Game. Before the start of the game there was a moment of silence for two recently deceased baseball lettermen: Al Briede ’40 SA and Pat Prigmore ’83. Bill Chimento ’52 and Don Trosclair ’52, members of the St. Aloysius 1952 Prep and State Championship team, were recognized on their championship anniversary. Ellis Quigley ’42, celebrating his 75th anniversary as a baseball letterman, threw out the first pitch as his family and friends cheered. The “Crimson Team”, led by Stephen Carroll ’03 started fast in their victory over the “Gold Team”. This was Stephen’s third consecutive win as team captain. After the game, the reunion at Lakeview Harbor featured complimentary sliders and jambalaya. After the Alumni Office thanked the event sponsors and all those who assisted in the successful day, Mr. Quigley addressed the crowd and finished with the “Aloysius cheer”!
