NJROTC Cadets Stand Tall for Inspection

IMG_5194The Brother Martin NJROTC held their Annual Military Inspection last week.  Commander Dave Orlosky, the Executive Officer of the Tulane NROTC program, presided as the guest inspector. Cadets stood a uniform and knowledge inspection during class periods evaluating proper military bearing. The top Cadet leaders gave a presentation on the goals and progress of their Unit while Cmdr. Orlosky reviewed all aspects of the Unit. Then, lunch was provided by Mrs. Michelle Brondum, Mrs. Laura Hagstette, and members of the Cadet staff.

The day cumulated in a Company formation for the Review Ceremony in the Conlin Gymnasium led by Cadet Commander David Welch ‘16. An all-freshman drill platoon performed a sample drill sequence under the command of Cadet Will Baillie ‘19. Cmdr. Orlosky presented awards for best inspection in each platoon.  4th Platoon, under the command of Cadet Ensign Manny Guilliot ‘17, won the platoon inspection for the overall best platoon.  Cadets Ahmad Wilson ‘19 (1st Platoon), Mark Gresse ‘19 (2nd Platoon), Will Baillie ‘19 (3rd Platoon), Darien Alexander ‘19 (4th Platoon), Brenden Brouillette ‘19 (5th Platoon), and William Spedale ‘19 (6th Platoon) were awarded individual awards for Exemplary Personal Appearance.

The overall day resulted in Outstanding recommendations in every category.  The performance of the day reflected the support and assistance from the entire Brother Martin community.
