Broggi '16 and Quinonez '16 Honored at Sugarbowl Luncheon

Sugarbowl Luncheon 2016 003The Allstate Sugar Bowl Chapter of the National Football Foundation/College Football Hall of Fame held its 2016 Awards Luncheon on Monday, April 11, 2016 at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. Jake Broggi ’16 and Victor Quinonez ’16 were honored for their achievements in the classroom and on the football field. Archie Manning, the national chairman of the National Football Foundation and a member of the College Football Hall of Fame, was in attendance to recognize each of the student athletes at the event.

In addition, six athletes were awarded Allstate Sugar Bowl Scholarships for $10,000 each. Scholarship recipients were chosen based on essays submitted after being notified of their selection as scholar-athletes.  Victor, an anchor for our offensive line for the past three seasons, was awarded with one of the six $10,000 scholarships. Jake will continue his athletic career as a preferred walk-on with the LSU Tigers. Victor will attend ULL in the fall and study Kinesiology.
