On Monday, February 15th, girls from area Catholic girl’s schools attended a Cheer Tryout Clinic in the Conlin Gymnasium in the hopes of getting a coveted spot on the Brother Martin 2016-2017 Cheer Team. The clinic was filled with instruction of sideline cheer technique and dance choreography, in addition to an assessment of their tumbling skills. On Wednesday night, those girls came back to the Conlin Gym to perform before a panel of three professional cheer judges.

On behalf of Head Coach Jessica Fresina, Assistant Coach Wesley Smith, and Faculty Moderator Marilyn Meyn, we extend our sincere thanks to all the young ladies who participated in try-outs. We welcome all those who will be joining the team for the first time. We know it will be an experience you will enjoy and remember all your life.
Brother Martin students will be chosen for the team from a series of open practices. Any students interested should listen to announcements for those open practice dates.
There will be a meeting for at least one parent of each of the young ladies on our 2016-2017 team. This meeting will be on Tuesday, March 1st, at 6 p.m. in our Library. You should enter the building through the Conlin Gymnasium entrance.
