This weekend, 72 7th, 8th, and 9th graders were inducted into the Brother Martin chapter of the National Junior Honor Society, the junior high version of the National Honor Society that promotes academic excellence, leadership, and integrity. Students inducted earned at least a 3.5 grade point average and met the expectations of their teachers regarding their character and honesty. Ordained Brother of the Sacred Heart Louis Couvillon, S.C., celebrated the Mass. Assisting were the NJHS moderator, Ms. Colleen Neelis; liturgy coordinator, Mr. Tony Melito; members of the Brother Martin chorus; and members of the National Honor Society.
