Two Crusader Alumni helped pace Xavier University of Louisiana’s Mens Cross Country Team to their 6th straight Gulf Coast Athletic Conference Title. Matt Pieri ’09 finished 3rd and Emmanuel Detiege ’11 finished 8th completing the 8K Choctaw Trails Course in 28:43 and 30:27 respectively. Both will compete for Xavier in the NAIA National Championships in Fort Vancouver, WA on November 19th. This will be Xavier’s 3rd NAIA Championship appearance in the last 4 years. Xavier’s Team won the GCAC title scoring 19points with 6 runners finishing in the top 10.
