Threatening weather couldn’t dampen the Crusader spirit on Saturday as the 14th Annual Brother Martin Fishing Rodeo was held next door to Brisbi’s in Lakeview. Despite the weather, the Crusader Nation came out in force and enjoyed delicious food prepared and served by the Class of ’73 Culinary Team, Budweiser beverages, kid’s games and raffle prizes. Dolph Federico ’86 of Pelican Graphics & Pelican Events and Mike Cascio ‘96 of Fleur de Lis Event Rentals provided the stage and plenty of tents to keep the crowd dry. Phinns & Pheathers won the coveted “5-Trout Stringer” category and Louis Linn’s 60-lbs. alligator gar was the” Largest Fish”.
