It's a "10" for the Class of 2008 10-Year Reunion

DSC08249The Brother Martin Class of 2008 gathered together for a night of camaraderie and spirit as they celebrated their 10-year reunion. The committee consisting of Alex Becnel, Chris Alley, Luke Cooney, Zach Frosch, Robert Haynes, and Jordan Williams, along with Director of Alumni Scott Corrente ’83, helped plan this festive celebration. Alumni and their guests assembled at ‘The Attic’ at Lucy’s Retired Surfers Bar & Restaurant on Tchoupitoulas St. to catch up on current Crusader news and life away from Elysian Fields Ave.

Current Brother Martin principal, Ryan Gallagher ’00, was present to converse with alumni about their post-collegiate and professional lives. In 2008, Gallagher served as a member of the English Department and as a Cross Country and Track & Field coach who educated these Crusaders in and out of the classroom. They spoke about how many things have remained the same or have changed since their time on campus, but 2008 will always be remembered for at least two things: it was the first year the Crusader bowling team competed in the LHSAA as a varsity athletic team and finished as regional and district champions and the Roland H. & Macy Paton Meyer Science and Mathematics Building opened for the 2007-2008 school year on August 17, plus much more!

Guests also enjoyed an assortment of Brother Martin gifts, hors-d’oeuvres, and drinks before and after Romaguera Photography captured a class photo of these young alumni. The Class of 2008 looks forward to reuniting again at more Brother Martin events. Thank you to the members of the Class of 2008 for attending the reunion!
