Senior Shawn Brown will continue his passion for swimming as he will be attending Henderson State University in the fall of 2017. A signing ceremony took place in the Brother Mark Thornton Terrace hosted by the Brother Martin Athletic Department. Mark Bordelon, who is the head swim coach, introduced the three- year letterman and spoke about Shawn’s accomplishments as a student-athlete. Shawn joined the swim team at the start of his sophomore year and qualified for three metro and three state championships. During the 2016-2017 school year, Shawn was awarded ‘Most Valuable’ at the annual swim convocation and help lead the Crusaders to top placements in their divisions. He was also a top finisher in various categories for metro and state. The event concluded with photos and a celebratory cake for all his family and friends.
