Each year St. Charles Avenue Magazine selects a number of Activists of the Year. Brother Martin’s own Rod West ’86 has been selected as one of the 2013 Activists of the Year. Rod, along with the other honorees, are selected based on the time, energy and gifts that they have given to our city. The nonprofits, boards, foundations, committees, city groups and associations with which they’re associated stretch across the entirety of New Orleans. Without them and their efforts, our city wouldn’t be the same.
