Gameday Comes to Crusader Nation

IMG_5632Friday morning, October 24th, a special High School GameDay themed pep rally was held to celebrate the upcoming weekend’s Homecoming festivities.  The Conlin Gym was filled with ‘Sader Spirit as the student body packed the gym to cheer on the Crusader football team for their Friday night Homecoming game against the Shaw Eagles!  Students were introduced to the Crusader football seniors followed by a pep talk from head coach Mark Bonis. Immediately following, everyone was introduced to the 2014 Homecoming Court. The stands were rocking after performances by the Crusader Cheerleaders, Crusader Band and the Domincan Debs.

Since it’s homecoming, students competed in a Grooming Check Relay Race followed by a screening from Mr. Fleetwood.  Doug Mouton ’81 and Raion Hill ’94 visited the pep rally as alumni guest pickers with the Game Day panelists.  After much debate, all the panelists agreed the Crusaders would prevail over the Shaw Eagles. A visit from the Spirit and another performance from the Crusader Band and Cheerleaders brought the crowd home before the end of the pep rally.
