Family and Friends Gather to Celebrate Our Annual Sacré Coeur Society Mass

Family and friends gathered to celebrate the annual Sacré Coeur Society Mass on Saturday, October 29, 2022 in the James B. Branton ’74 Chapel

Before Mass, Brother Bernard Couvillion, S.C. and Kenny Spellman ’84, Advancement and Alumni Relations Director, presented a special gift to all attendees while Gillen Briede, Gifts Manager, announced the names of the Sacré Coeur Society members.

Monsignor Andrew C. Taormina ’54 SA presided over the Mass, and Jane Ann Frosh and Chris Alley ’08 provided the music. Brother Martin Student Ambassadors and Student Ministers also assisted with the ceremony under the direction of Campus Minister Mark Bordelon.

After Mass, Michael Flick ’66 SA shared some encouraging words about why his family chose to tie his parents’ legacy to Brother Martin High School, and Greg Rando ’77, President of Brother Martin High School, thanked everyone for supporting Brother Martin in their loved one's honor.

The Sacré Coeur Society recognizes and honors inspired memorial giving.  The Society welcomes those who designate gifts directed to Brother Martin in memory of a loved one.  With this heartfelt gift, members of the Society strengthen their impact and connection to the Brothers of the Sacred Heart.
