Congratulations to Brother Martin Senior Jayden Hall '24 for being named a STEM Global Action Champion! We would like to thank Jayden for modeling Academic Excellence for all our Crusaders!

From STEM NOLA: "Jayden's project was one of 126 winners selected from 2,549 student entries from across the country! Jayden’s project, TheroSole, is a smart therapeutic shoe that uses real-time monitoring and customization to provide continuous support and pain relief for wearers. The shoes and connected mobile app can also track steps and connect with healthcare providers for treatment. A senior at Brother Martin High School, Jayden is a member of our STEM NOLA Fellows program. He will be able to attend the National STEM Festival in Washington, D.C. in April. The STEM NOLA team is incredibly proud of Jayden's commitment and achievement! Great work, Jayden!"

From the SGA website: "STEM Global Action is a network and campaign that pursues the advancement of STEM education for children and communities everywhere. SGA is a resource for every individual, organization, government agency and others seeking to expand STEM education, especially in communities that have historically been under-resourced. SGA is where you come to learn more about the benefits of STEM and how these skills can change your life, and the lives of those in your community. We have state-of-the-art design and delivery of STEM-based activities, programs and events for K-12 students, families and communities. Our STEM Global Action programs provide unique interactive, hands-on learning experiences that help students of all ages deepen their knowledge of STEM skills, gain confidence in their abilities and chart a course for career opportunities in STEM-related fields."

Jayden shares his experience at the National STEM Event in Washington D.C.: "The prospect of being a National STEM Champion has filled me with excitement, amazement, and a sense of disbelief. Eventually, I presented my project at the first ever National STEM Festival in D.C. There was so many people that really took interest in the TheroSole that it became one of the most popular stands at the festival.  It was truly a remarkable experience to see my efforts recognized at such a significant level, as well as to see the other kids’ gifts and talents. Along the way, I made new friends and new connections with people who are highly successful in their field of STEM. I attribute this success to the unwavering support of my family, friends, Brother Martin School, and the STEM NOLA team. Their belief in me and their encouragement throughout this journey have been instrumental in reaching this milestone."
