There is no mention of eighth grade because that grade did not exist in 1935-6. So freshmen were not "ninth-graders." It would be a few years before Louisiana added an eighth year to students' pre-high school education.

The math curriculum called for Advanced Algebra (today's Algebra II) in the sophomore year and Plane Geometry in the junior year. The senior course consisted of Solid Geometry and Trigonometry. Freshman year included Business Arithmetic in addition to Algebra.

Physical education is not listed in the curriculum. Until it closed in 1969, St. Aloysius had no facilities for physical education.
