Dante Butler
Dante Butler
RB Dante Butler has been chosen the Times-Picayune's pre-season Offensive Player of the Year for large schools (4A and 5A). Dante has played regularly since his freshman year. The 5-10 210 lb senior ran for a school-record 274y and five TDs against McDonogh 35 in 2009. He started the 2010 season with a bang, rushing for 150 yd on 11 carries and three TDs in the 24-0 jamboree victory over Fontainbleau.

Brother Neal Golden (CJ '57) retired as academic games coach at the end of last school year. He began leading the Crusader team in 1966 at St. Aloysius. Craig Zeller ('02), assistant for the last four years, takes control of the team. Brother Neal will continue as Director of the New Orleans Academic Games League and President of Academic Games Leagues of America.

Congratulations to Nazarene Chatelain on the birth of son Drew Martin on June 11. Nazarene has worked in the Brother Martin Finance Office since 2006.

Did You Know?

Head football coach Mark Bonis accepted an appointment to West Point when he graduated from high school. But after completing the summer cadet training program, he decided the military was not for him and returned home to pursue a coaching career.
