“I Wanna Sing” with the Chorus at Spring Concert

Copy of IMG_0002In December, our award-winning Chorus, led by Mr. Kevin Caparotta ’88, wowed friends and families of Brother Martin High School at their annual Christmas concert at St. Catherine of Siena Church. On May 9, the Chorus was back in action at St. Catherine of Siena Church for their annual spring concert. The concert opened with the rousing “Jambo Rafiki Yangu”, featuring the combined forces of the fifth period, sixth period, and Alumni choruses with percussion accompaniment. Antonio Domino ‘17 was the tenor soloist.  From American folk music (“Red River Valley”) to the audience favorite “Cibola!”, written by Native American composer Phillip White Hawk, each group performed a variety of music intended to showcase the diverse talents of its singers. State Vocal Rally participants Trey Andrews ‘17, Andrew Butler ‘18, Brent Clement ‘17, and Antonio Domino ‘17 performed their solos to great acclaim from the audience. The Alumni Chorus presented their performance of “On The Willows” from Godspell as a special tribute to the Dionysians and their recent spectacular production. Mr. Kevin Caparotta ’88 served as the conductor with accompaniment by Mr. Kevin Estoque on percussion and Mr. Steven Kennedy on guitar.

Thank you to director Kevin Caparotta ’88 and the Crusader Chorus for their final concert performance of the 2017-2018 school year!
