Vic Firth Artist Spotlight with Stanton Moore '90

stanton-moore-sqStanton Moore ’90, drummer for Galactic, has recently been featured in the Vic Firth Artist Spotlight Interview in October 2014.  During his interview, Stanton says he wanted to attend the high school with the best band and drumline, so his parents brought him to Brother Martin.  Stanton attributes his work ethic and incredible talents to Mr. Marty Hurley among many other famous musicians.

“What he really taught me was that the pursuit of excellence and at how to discipline yourself, focus yourself, set goals, and really work hard.  That set me up for the rest of my life, and I don’t know anybody who learned from Marty Hurley who doesn’t to this day use some of what he taught to make their lives better.”
