The seventh grade had their day of reflection last Thursday at St. Joseph’s Abbey outside of Covington. The theme of the day was, “Who ‘Dat Called To Be A Saint?” The answer, of course, is that we all are called to saints. The seventh graders were joined by their junior class Big Brothers for the day. The seventh graders heard talks from several monks and seminarians who live at the abbey along with our own Mr. John Quilter. They toured the monks’ refectory and the basilica where they joined the monks for Mass. After a picnic lunch, the students gathered in the monk’s cemetery where they enjoyed some prayerful quiet time before heading back to school. It was a beautiful day.
