On Sunday October 16th, the NJROTC Unit participated in the Stella Maris Maritime Mass at St. Louis Cathedral in New Orleans, LA. The mass is a service dedicated to pray for those who work on the water and those who have perished on the water. The NJROTC Color Guard, commanded by Cadet LT(jg) Gregory Howard, preceded the priests and officials into the Church and also led the recession out of the Church and through  Jackson Square to the wharf. A brief Memorial Service was conducted while wreaths commemorating the dedicated servicemen and women were tossed into the water.  Trumpeters Brent Schneckenburger and Wesley Beshel played Taps at the conclusion of the ceremony.Â
