Six 7th Graders Recognized by Duke Talent Identification Program

DukeDuke University Talent Identification Program (TIP) recognized Brother Martin 7th graders Justin Conrad, Jason Evans, Christopher Gardebled, Chris MacDowell, Andrew Lewis, and Grant Touchette on May 6th at the Louisiana recognition ceremony held at the Frederick’s Auditorium on the campus of Northwestern State University in Natchitoches. Duke TIP hosts annual state recognition ceremonies to honor those 7th graders who score at or above the 95th percentile on a grade-level achievement test. As part of the program, these academically talented students take above-level college-entrance exams (ACT or SAT) to learn more about their abilities.

Nationally recognized by Duke TIP are Crusader 7th graders Jason Evans and Grant Touchette. They will be honored at the grand recognition ceremony on May 19th at Cameron Indoor Stadium on the Duke University campus in Durham, North Carolina. Nationally recognized Duke scholars are those 7th graders who have earned scores, on either the ACT or SAT, that are equal to or better than 90 percent of college-bound seniors who took the same tests.
