On Wednesday, April 25 the NJROTC unit hosted its annual Change of Command and Awards Ceremonies. During this event, cadets are honored with different awards for their achievements that they have earned during the year. In addition to being awarded ribbons, medals, and certificates, the company staff of the 2012-2013 relieves the company of 2011-2012 and takes their new positions as the leaders of the unit. The families of the cadets are in attendance to pin their son’s new rank onto them. The cadet commander for the 2012-2013 school year is Todd Mathieu. We wish him and the entire staff of next year good luck in fulfilling the roles that the seniors have left them. We also wish fair winds and following seas to the senior class as they take their next steps in the journey of life.
