The results are in and your new Student Council President is… Benjamin Wisniewski ‘17.
The very qualified Student Council veteran was awarded the position of Student Council President after running for office unopposed. Wisniewski admitted he did not expect to be able to walk into office. He was expecting a close race because he saw many other students as worthy opponents, but he is grateful to be awarded this honor. Wisniewski has held a Student Council Executive Board position for the past two years and plans to use what he observed from past presidents as well as his own experience to do the job justice. He is more than ready to start his term as Commander in Chief and has already given thought on ways to improve student morale and pep rallies: “I’ve been paying close attention to the presidents who came before me for years now knowing that one day I would want to become the president. Now I’m ready to put some of my ideas and suggestions into action as president.” Wisniewski is especially excited to emcee the pep rallies. He stated that he can’t wait to feel the energy of the Brother Martin student body those Friday mornings in the fall. Incumbent Student Council President Marvin Hudson Jr. passed on some knowledge to his successor after the elections Friday, April 15th advising Wisniewski to: “Let God lead the way and never forget your role in life. Be personal as a president and put your own twist on ideas.”
