Merry Christmas to all! On Saturday, December 7, 2019, the Ladies of the Shield kicked-off the Christmas season as they hosted the annual Holiday Home Tour featuring four distinctive homes in beautiful historic Uptown New Orleans.

Patrons touring the homes were treated to a Patron Party at the home of Alissa and Jeff Schmidtke ‘97 at 438 Henry Clay Avenue. Adding to the parade of homes included Jane and Philip Clark at ’83 (Bennett ’20) at 4104 Prytania Street, Dr. Keith Lescale ’79 and Henrique Paraizo at 2702 St. Charles Avenue and Dionne and Johnny Parker (Jonathan ’15) at 5610 Laurel Street.

During the day, guests donned in their holiday attire while touring homes, decorated in the rich Christmas spirit and New Orleans history while catching up with friends and families. Homes on the tour ranged from the “Uptowner” nestled in the heart of Audubon Park neighborhood on Henry Clay Ave., a former residence of an Emmy winner actor from The Young and the Restless show on Prytania Street, a St. Charles Avenue residence in the heart of the Garden District, home to musicians of all, and one for all family gatherings to host. Visitors were also encouraged to do some Christmas shopping with Sandy’s Kustom Embroidery, Nola Gifts and Décor and Kendra Scott at this year’s boutique on Laurel Street.

All funds raised continue to benefit the Brother Jean Sobert, S.C. Student Activities Endowment at Brother Martin.
