The junior class had their annual Day of Reflection at St. Stanislaus College and the neighboring Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church on Thursday, February 9th. The focus of the day was the important aspect of the Brothers of the Sacred Heart charism that seeks to form men who are compassionate towards others, who work for justice, and who are engaged in community service. Alumni Jay Trapani (BMHS ’74) and Connell Vallette (SA ’63) helped with the day in which students heard talks on becoming men of faith, justice, service, and compassion. The class also participated in a meditation on scripture led by junior religion teacher Ms. Cynthia Donnelly and were led in contemplative prayer by school chaplain Br. Louis Couvillon, S.C. The juniors enjoyed lunch in the College Cafe at St. Stanislaus, and the day ended with Mass in Our Lady of the Gulf Church.
